I’ve started agility training with the pooch. We’re learning to get him to run forwards, rather than coming to me. Sounds painless, but it’s not. All the time we’ve had him, I’ve trained him to come to me at my recall. Now, inexplicably, to him I suppose, I want him to run straight on. He’s bamboozled. We’re getting there.

embarrassment, humped, very enthusiastically, I might add, the trainer’s leg. She valiantly kept trying to remove the rogering little tyke, but he was smitten. I hope she’s recovered….
One of the bits of homework I was given was to focus him to sit by himself, calmly, with no command, the idea being that he needs to know a start position.
So, *sits calmly, and when I say he can have it, gets a treat*. Simplez.
You can imagine this is taking a little time. His primary answer to me just waiting, treat in hand, was to go through every single trick he knows, hoping one would work, culminating in one MASSIVE trick!
